To celebrate Singapore's independence or to showcase Singapore's military might?
To have an enjoyable public holiday or to have extra work days?
Our Nation's birthday is a much awaited day for some. But for others, National Day is very much dreaded day. Those army personnel sure feel proud and honoured to be involved in it. I hope they do not feel sad to do those extra 'sai kang' like cleaning their weapon and SBO, polishing their boots, making sure that the 'awesome' vehicles of the mobile column that will travel to various heartlands of Singapore are mud-free. Not forgetting the number of rehearsals and drill lessons that they are required to have. All these are not shown 'live' on national TV.
We only saw those high ranking ppl giving interviews on TV on the awesome things that they will do during this national day, like conducting military drills at the heartlands for Singaporeans to see. But are they working as hard as their subordinates?
A big Thank You to those involved but not appreciated by people.
