Kieran Richardson scored 2 to help United win by 3 goals at Molineux. Not considered an important player by England, Kieran Richardson has shown in recent matches why he can earn a well-deserved place in the England squad in World Cup 2006.

My wish for Lunar Year of the Dog

CNY coming and Thailand trips looming. Thailand "sells" lousy food and it is not doing any good to our morale. One of my CNY wish would be that someone influential enough would do something to the quality of the food "sold" there.

Rio saves the day

Man Utd beat European Champions 05/06 Liverpool 1-0 at Old Trafford today. The UEFA Champions League winner can't even handle a team bereft of important 1st team players like Ronaldo, Park, Smith, O Shea, Scholes and Heinze. Wingers Kieran Richardson and Darren Fletcher deputises for Smith and Scholes in the middle.

In the 63rd min, Rio is forced to clear the ball off the line after a quick throw causes confusion in the box. The game would have gone the other way if not for Rio's quick feet.

Then in the 90th min, Rio powers a flying header in from a Giggs corner. Reina gets a good chance on the ball but can't keep it out.

Full marks for Man Utd.

Revellers leave behind 6,000kg of trash after Orchard Rd party

SINGAPORE : Orchard Road was also party central as Singaporeans and visitors alike ushered in the New Year.

But the revellers also left behind a trail of trash - 6,000 kilogrammes of it!

Party people came out in full force. And so did the street cleaners.

About 30 of them were deployed to pick up after the crowd left.

This is twice the cleaning manpower used on a normal day.

And despite the additional 20 bins placed along Orchard Road, rubbish overflowed and onto the streets.

Jeffrey Tang, Supervisor of FME Onyx, said: "Everybody is having fun. They forgot that there are bins around. So when they are having fun, they just start throwing all over the place, it's part and parcel of the enjoyment.

"As we go along, the cleansing, we still face people having fun and also throwing out the tin cans again. And we would still have to go back again and have another another set of cleansing."

This shows how inconsiderate and selfish people are. The situation would have been different if they were not allowed to leave Orchard road after the party and had to clear the rubbish themselves. Those street cleaners are not their servants.
