ALL HAIL WAYNE !! ALL HAIL ROONEY !!

Rooney celebrating with Scholes

We went behind after just 52 seconds through a Marlon Harewood goal. But we created many chances and equalised when striker Rooney cut inside a defender before powering home. He then provided the corner for John O'Shea's headed winner which lifts us to second in the Premiership.

Fuming - just found out that some of my starhub rewards points had expired last month. Can't redeem a month of free cable TV supscription as a result.

Starhub now charges an additional $2.10 per month inclusive of GST for the rental of set-top boxes. This is on top of the recent price increase, almost doubled, for the subscription of Sports Group. Despite the increase, they took away Italian Serie A matches. Sensing anger among sports fans, Starhub recently gave us a 15% discount off Sports Group for 12 months. The discount is priced at $2.25.

What is the point of this discount if an additional $2.10 is charged for the set-top boxes?

Sir Alex: Best was perfection personified

The football world is in mourning after the death of ex-Manchester United and Northern Ireland star George Best. Best, 59, died in a west London hospital after multiple organ failure followed eight weeks of ill health.

"He was a fantastic player. Everybody at United regarded George as being one of the greatest of all time," said Old Trafford boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

United will wear black armbands and observe a minute's silence prior to the game against West Ham and at the club's next home match with West Brom on Wednesday. All Premier League games this weekend will observe a minute's silence.

My last CL group stage

a Cheeky Carew backheel

Today is a weird day. I did not intend to watch CL so I slept at around 1am today. But i woke up automatically at 4.15am anyway to watch the CL. This morning's match was so-so, just like yesterday's. Not much surprises from the English Clubs as Chelsea is back to winning ways and Liverpool's Peter Crouch is missing the target yet again.

But the one team and player that make a difference to today's round of CL is Lyon and John Carew respectively. A cheeky back-heel from the Norway forward earned Olympique Lyon a 1-1 draw at Real Madrid and top spot in CL Group F. Full marks for Carew.

Will be catching another competition later today. Our Singapore young Lions will be competing in the SEA games against Indonesia 4pm. Hope the Lions give me deserve-to-watch match.

Worms

I finally had W32.blaster worm removed from my harddisk. Thanks to Win XP SP2.

It is a highly powerful worm whereby reformatting the com does not help. No matter how many times of reformatting, the worm will still be activated once the com is connected to the internet. The worm will force WinXP to restart itself.

I manage to download SP2 in time before the worm strike again and have this problem fixed. I didn't think WinXP SP2 was useful until yesterday.
