Fieldtrips

Labrador Park - Not really fun as we couldn't poke fun at the intertidal organisms due to the mid-high tide. I would like to go there once more.

Underwater World - It has been years since I have been there. The most fun thing was the two touch pools I guess. In the first touch pool, there were pufferfish and many others which I forgot their names. What is unforgettable is that it was the 1st time I touched a live, swimming fish, zipping through my hands! Slimy, soft, and a funny feel!

The second was the stingray pool. I could still feel the stingray sucking my hand last night while lying in bed before my sleep!

We saw the one and only dugong, sharks, crabs, coral reefs, etc etc etc.

The Dolphin show was okay as well, just that this small little pool can't be compared to the big pool at San Diego Sea World, featuring Shamu, the Killer Whale.

Tired

My nose was seriously affected by the haze. I couldn't get to a proper sleep the whole night. Stupid haze. I need to kickstart my healthy lifestyle soon.

The recess week is here, finally. I can now go home, sleep on my bed, watch TV and especially EPL! It's has been so long since I last watched a match!

I will not waste my recess week. The 1st half of the semester is bad enough.

Depressing Friday

As usual, I took exceptionally long to finish 1 simple assignment for Phyical. I thought I have already forgotten the whole episode but it is more difficult than I thought it would be. I ought to concentrate but somehow......

Tasks to be done by this week:
1) Resume and cover letter
2) Lab report
3) Preparation for 1 test to next Mon (not started)
4) 2 assignments due next tues (not started)
5) Preparation for another test next Fri (my worst subject so far)

How to complete the tasks? 100% concentration on my work would be the trick perhaps. Good luck to me.

ps: I've missed countless Man Utd matches already! This week's big one against Arsenal would be missed also as I got so much things to do! I would change my blogskin soon as I really don't deserve to be a Man Utd fan anymore.

V day sai kang

My muscles are aching after doing sai kang for V day bazaar. It has been a really long time since I do exercises. I will start my fitness regime after all my midterms next week. We had fun and I chatted quite alot with the comm members.

Lab

Surprisingly, I quite enjoyed lab today, although it is abit tiring. The TA can answer most of my burning questions. Synthesizing organic products with different colours is quite fun as well.

However, when the time comes to writing report, then I'll hate lab session again for sure.

Lab reports

I just rushed out a horrible lab report. It is quite disappointing that until now, I still do not know how to write a decent report. Now that it is past my sleeping time, I can't get to bed already. I will have another gruelling lab session tomorrow. Will try to do some studying and packing up before I sleep.

Why are all my posts so sad?

I need to have better time management and a new strategy for lab.

4th day CNY

My heart was pounding hard as I was passing near the checkpoint. I thought I would be crossing over to our neighbouring country already. Luckily I saw a sign at the very end, saying, "Woodlands ave 2, keep right."

Ying's house is big. I envy her. 'Knight' is not as noisy as I expected as I expected dogs to be irritating.

Steamboat

We had steamboat at Golden Mile. It has been years since I went there. The chicken rice is still as delicious but the steamboat is just normal.

The steamboat place is beside a billard room and a sleazy karaoke lounge. I remember when we were young, we were told, "If you all don't study, you all will be like those golden hair monkeys playing billards and those hostesses at the karaoke lounge. You all better don't go play billard."

CNY 1st Day

The 1st day of CNY has come and gone. The routine is pretty much the same. I'll be watching Jack Neo's movie tomorrow, as usual.

Surprisingly, my bedridden granddad remembers me of all the other grandchildren. He kept calling my name. Ha!

I have been eating junk food after junk food, sweets after sweets. I seriously need some exercise soon.

SQUEEEEZE

Eve of CNY eve - I was at Chinatown, sqeezing with the crowd. This is the first time in my life that I go there during the CNY period. I love the muah chee and they way the sellers do their business. They end every sentence with a rhyme - Pretty amazed by how they did it.

I also learnt what a cardigan is. I saw an obscence T-shirt as well, saying "Who came first?" and with the picture of a chicken and an egg. As usual, I took quite some time to figure out what obscene msg it is trying to convey.

When everybody knew what it was already, I was still blur, "huh, chicken and egg only lor. What's the big deal."
