Montenegro now independent

Montenegro has narrowly voted for independence from Serbia in an historic referendum, complete official results have confirmed.
The full count gave 55.5% in favour of breaking the union with Belgrade. The required margin for victory was 55%.Fifa has stated the split will not affect the joint football team playing in the World Cup. A Fifa Spokesman said that the team is from the FA of Serbia and Montenegro, which is an independent organisation affiliated to Fifa and which qualified for the competition. It is also up to the football family in Serbia and Montenegro to adapt according to the political situation in the future.
